The Youth Patriot Lacrosse Training Club, which has operated for five years with a small number of youth players (6), has without knowing it, become a well tested Olympic sample of the future of lacrosse.

The Olympic format will require an adjustment in the size of the field and dynamics of the roster, time, and players, impacting the management of the game, team and format to adjust to a six player game.

But the Youth Patriot Training Club has not only exclusively competed only in 6-Man lacrosse, entering into most of the New Wave 6 man indoor tournaments over the last five years, but has done well against much more numerous teams, taking first in the 2016 Buffalo Brawl at the u11 level, and 2nd in the 2018 Big Freeze at the u14 level as well as 2nd in the Lax Revolution at the u14 level.

The distinction with the Patriots as a Trainig club is that they have always maintianed the 10 man roster, playing with limited subs against teams with as many as 35 players, and have competed exclusively in the New Wave Six man Indoor tournaments, not having enough players for other larger events.

The Olympic format will also limit the roster to 10 players, which makes the Patriot training club actual veterans for the future Olympic format, estimated to be debued in the 2028 games in LA as a Gold Medal Contest.
